Long before the kingdoms of Avalon were etched upon maps, before the first castles crowned the hills, there existed another realm hidden just beyond what you could see. Where magic and illusion are reality.
It was known as Mystoria, a vast kingdom where countless peoples lived together beneath an ancient covenant. Elves walked beside humans. Orcs feasted beside dwarves. Fairies danced with satyrs beneath moonlit forests. Mushroom folk tended glowing gardens beneath the roots of mountains while giants watched silently from the frozen peaks.
Each people governed their own lands and traditions, yet all pledged loyalty to a single sovereign.
King Sylas.
Born of the oldest woodland spirits, Sylas was neither chosen by blood nor conquest, but by the World Tree itself. Legend tells that when the first leaves unfurled and the first rivers found their paths, the Tree whispered a single name into the wind. That name became the first king.
For centuries beyond counting, peace flourished beneath his reign. The kingdoms prospered through unity rather than domination. A great Round Table was established where every race sent a representative to advise the Crown. Though disagreements were common, no kingdom stood alone.
But peace has a way of inviting envy.
A darkness emerged from beyond the known realms, an ancient force that hungered not for land, but for stories, memories, and hope itself. Entire kingdoms vanished beneath its shadow. Cities were swallowed. Heroes disappeared into legend before their tales could be finished.
To preserve his people, King Sylas performed the greatest act of magic ever recorded.
He tore open the Veil separating Mystoria from the mortal world.
The realms drifted apart.
Mystoria survived, but became hidden from humanity, remembered only through fragmented myths, forgotten fairy tales, and legends passed around campfires.
Now, centuries later, the Veil has begun to weaken.
Small gateways appear without warning. Strange creatures cross into our forests. Ancient relics awaken beneath forgotten ruins. Ordinary people find themselves hearing whispers they cannot explain, dreaming of kingdoms they have never seen, and discovering that they possess abilities that should not exist.
These individuals are known simply as the Called.
Some become heroes.
Some become villains.
All must choose where their loyalties lie.
King Sylas has reopened the gates, summoning champions from the mortal world to stand beside the peoples of Mystoria. Humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, fairies, goblins, mushroom folk, beastkin, and countless others now gather beneath one banner.
Not because they share the same blood.
But because they share the same purpose.
The Round Table has assembled once more.
The kingdoms prepare for war.
And every legend begins with a single choice.
Will you answer the Call?
